PrizeRebel Review: Does Taking Online Surveys Really Pay Money?

I’m excited to share my opinion with this PrizeRebel review totally based on my experience using the platform.

There are a number of survey sites you should avoid out there and PrizeRebel isn’t one of those.

You probably are wondering;

  • Is PrizeRebel legit?
  • Is it a site worth the time?
  • Is it a scam
  • Is it something you wouldn’t actually earn money from?

Well, let’s find out from this recently updated PrizeRebel Review!

What is PrizeRebel?

PrizeRebel is a big player in the “online paid survey sites” and “get paid to” community. The company has been up and running since 2007 and has so far paid over 17 million dollars in rewards to over 8 million users.

For a company like PrizeRebel to have existed this long (12 years) and pay out a significant amount, I’d say it’s a good sign. However, is it really a good survey site to earn from?

Personally, I have received payments multiple times from PrizeRebel and it’s one of my go-to sites for surveys. This doesn’t necessarily mean it is the right site for you too. But this PrizeRebel review will reveal outright if this is a company you’d like to join or not.

How to Signup for PrizeRebel

You can sign up for PrizeRebel from any location. The surveys you’re allowed to fill out is strictly based on your country’s demographic. The platform is restricted to ages 13 and above. However, note that individuals between the ages of 13 to 18 will be required to provide parental permission.

It is quite simple to sign up for PrizeRebel. There are basically two options:

  1. Connecting your Facebook profile to the site
  2. Filling out some basic details – your full name, email address, and a chosen password.

Facebook is a quicker way to signup and what I personally prefer However,  if you wish to sign up with your full name and an email address, you’ll be required to verify your email address before PrizeRebel activates your account.

Ways to Earn on PrizeRebel

This Prizerebel review will cover only 7 ways that you can actually earn money out of the several other ways you can profit from the platform.

1. Surveys

If you’re searching for good paid surveys, PrizeRebel is a place you can find a really good amount and your reward is instantaneous.

Once you have logged into your account. Go to the “Earn Tab” and choose surveys…. You’ll be taken to a list of different survey providers that PrizeRebel is working with. These are the places you’ll usually take your surveys through. There’s also an overview of these survey providers on your dashboard as soon as you’re logged in.

You should be aware that only a few providers can offer you many daily chances for surveys. So, you’ll just have to take note of the ones that work for you.

Now, to earn points, all you have to do is choose the survey you’re interested in taking and provide honest answers to these questions to earn your points immediately after you’re finished.

The first time you take a survey, you’ll be asked a few profile questions. This is to ensure that you’re a real person and not some type of survey bot. So be sure to submit correct details otherwise, your surveys would be disqualified and no points or earnings will be available for you.

Compared to other survey sites, PrizeRebel is one of those sites that give some of the highest rewards compared to the time spent on surveys.

You will always see the reward (points) you’ll get before you take each survey as well as the time estimate (how much time to complete the survey). This is just an estimate but truly depends on how fast you’re reading through the questions and answering them.

Once again, keep in mind that the number of providers and available surveys would depend on your profile and current location. Often times, opportunities vary and are based on your location.

Just like other sites, you will not qualify for every survey. This is one of the downsides of taking online surveys. However, do not let this stop you because you’ll certainly find other surveys that you will qualify for and earn from.

2. Offers

Doing offers is a way to earn from PrizeRebel. You can get to the Offer section from the “Earn Tab”.  Offers require that you interact with some form of advertisement from many of PrizeRebel’s partners for you to earn a reward.

This could be a very lucrative section depending on your interest and what you’re willing to do. For example, you can get paid for downloading or opening an app, playing a game, visiting a website, or even signing up for a free trial.

3. Watching Videos

Watching videos is probably one of my most favorite sections. PrizeRebel has a big section of videos you can watch and get paid for.

Typically, you’ll get rewarded for every 3 video/ads that you watch.

There are a lot of topics available to choose from. So, you can definitely find one that would be actually interesting for you. Some of the categories of videos you’ll find are travels, virals, lifestyle, music, news, health, and even nature.

There’s no limit to the number of videos you can watch from this section and this is really great. However, you will not get paid a lot for watching. Therefore, you’ll have to go through a lot of videos to earn any significant money. But there’s the option to let the video run when you’re not using the computer.

Many of the videos are pretty interesting to watch. But if you don’t have the time to sit and watch, then using a spare device (if you have any) can be a way to let the videos play passively while you keep earning your points.

4. Contest and Challenges

PrizeRebel introduced the daily contest and challenges in 2018. When you log in daily, you’ll see a new challenge on the left side of your screen. You are required to reach a certain amount of points that day to earn an extra bonus.

There’s always an indication of how much time you have left to complete a challenge and when you do, you get an extra bonus of 6 to 10 points.

One of PrizeRebel’s challenges and contest is their Raffles. You can use some of your earning to enter these weekly raffles. The rewards are usually gift cards ranging from $5 to $10 while they cost about 10 cents per ticket to enter into the Raffle.

You can find the option to join Raffles by going to the “Win Tab” in the main menu and choosing “Raffles”. Here you’ll see the “Current Raffles” and “Up Coming Raffles”. Proceed to buy the tickets if you’re willing to participate and earn points immediately.

PrizeRebel also offers you contests for free and also for being active on the site. I really like this because it motivates you to keep on completing these activities while getting rewarded for each one.

You’ll be eligible for the contests and challenges when you consistently complete your tasks within the time frame and earn points. You can also win additional prizes when you end up on the Leaderboard of every contest.

5. Lucky Numbers

This is another way to win extra rewards on PrizeRebel. All you have to do is buy a lottery ticket and pick 4 numbers. Once a draw is made and your numbers are matched, then you win the jackpot. There’s usually a new jackpot every week and the tickets cost only 20 points each.

There are chances to win good rewards especially if you win the jackpot. So, it might be worth checking out the Lucky Numbers section if you always feel lucky.

6. Referrals

Through referrals, you can teach people how to earn on PrizeRebel and also earn in the process. Do keep in mind that for the referral contest, your referrals do have to abide by the terms of service so be sure to read those terms.

So if you’re going to refer somebody, let them know that they cannot use a VPN. Otherwise, their account would get banned, blocked or even deleted. If this happens you’re not getting credited for those referrals.

Depending on the location of your referrals, they may not have a lot of surveys available to them. Therefore, you can earn by using other methods if Referrals don’t work in your favour.

7. Tasks

You can also earn on PrizeRebel by accomplishing some tasks. These tasks are small online jobs similar to those in Amazon Mechanical Turk. You can find the Task section by going to “Earn Tab” and then choosing “Task”.

There can be a number of different little tasks. For instance, checking a website for errors, links that do not work, citations, phone numbers, addresses and so on. These tasks don’t payout a huge reward in the beginning. However, as you keep doing more and building up trust, you’ll start being offered tasks that pay a lot better.

If you decide to use this option to earn, then ensure to accurately and correctly perform the tasks. Otherwise, you will not get rewarded after you finish the task.

With a little patience in the beginning and the time to build up your trust on the platform, this can be a very good way to earn some extra cash. Especially because it’s an earning method available worldwide.

PrizeRebel Membership Levels

There are 5 membership levels and this PrizeRebel review reveals how beneficial they can be.

  1. Bronze level
  2. Silver level
  3. Gold level
  4. Platinum level
  5. Diamond level

Typically, every newly signed up member begins on the Bronze level. Once you hit 1000 points, you automatically begin to advance in levels. When you get to the Gold level, you’ll begin to see a lot more advantages like,

  • If you’re doing referrals, your reward and bonuses increase.
  • Receiving special bonuses at the end of every month. This typically is a percentage of all your earnings.
  • Getting discounts on paid tasks and surveys. As long as you consecutively hit your daily goals.

Based on my experience, these extra bonuses are great in boosting earnings.

How Does PrizeRebel Pay?

Our Prizerebel review will cover two ways to get paid as a participant. You can receive a cash payment from PrizeRebel via 2 options:

  1. PayPal
  2. Dwolla

PayPal is a reliable payment system and signing up PayPal is quite simple. If you already have an account with PayPal, then proceed to submit your email address to receive your payments.

If you prefer your payments sent directly to your bank account then using PrizeRebel’s second payment option Dwolla would be more suitable.

PrizeRebel also offers different electronic and physical gift cards as rewards. For example, Amazon, Delta Airlines, Disney, Visa, Showtime and even more.

When you complete a task and earn points, you can exchange your points for any of these rewards. Generally, 100 points are equivalent to $1. Until you earn a minimum of $5, you won’t be able to redeem any PayPal or Dwolla payments. However, you can redeem some gift cards for as low as $2.

PrizeRebel has some really nice low payout thresholds compared to most survey sites out there. You can earn 25 points for just signing up with PrizeRebel and completing your profile.

This is an excellent start considering it doesn’t take long to reach any of the payout thresholds.

Prizerebel Pros and Cons

In this Prizerebel review, we will be writing the pros and the cons of Prizerebel just as we have experienced.

Typically, every product has it’s pros and cons and this PrizeRebel review is going to cover just that!

Pros:

  • PrizeRebel is free to join.
  • Depending on your location, they have a decent amount of surveys.
  • They definitely have tasks and offers that you can complete.
  • There’s a low payout threshold.
  • There are different levels, contests and diverse ways that you can earn from.

Cons

  • You don’t always qualify for every survey that you take in PrizeRebel. This is also very common among most survey sites.
  • Even though PrizeRebel can be accessible worldwide, there are still some countries limited to survey opportunities. However, if you reside in any of those countries, you can still earn your points by completing other tasks and offers.

My Final Thoughts on this PrizeRebel Review

Is PrizeRebel safe to join?

Absolutely yes! and you can sign up here.

Doing surveys and tasks on PrizeRebel is one of the numerous ways of making money online. Converting the points you earn into real-world gift cards and cash is one stand-out benefit of PrizeRebel. Considering the free points you earn for your first account sign up, it won’t take you long to start cashing out.
